Get Resale Rights For Ed Hardy

,

Owners of retail stores are prime candidates for obtaining Ed Hardy resale rights.

Ed Hardy is one of the most fashion-forward clothing lines available today. While laws for reselling clothing items differ vastly by state, you should be able to get a resale license by deciding what you'd like to do with the license, applying for the license and contacting Ed Hardy's parent company.

Instructions

1. Research your state's guidelines for obtaining a resale license. Depending on where you live, the state might refer to a resale license as a "resale permit," a "license to sellers permit," or a "resale certificate."

2. Decide whether you need a temporary or permanent resale license. If you plan on selling the merchandise for a defined period of time, you may need a different type of license than if you own a permanent store. In California, for example, anyone selling items for a period of 90 days or less only requires a temporary resale permit.

3. Submit your application to the proper governing body in your state. Be sure to include all tax and other required information or documents. You may need to verify that you will not be using the resale license for personal use. Strict regulations are in place to make sure that resale licenses do not go to people who want a license so they can buy merchandise at wholesale costs for personal use.

4. Contact Ed Hardy's corporate sales department for the region you or your company is located in. Apply to become a licensed Ed Hardy reseller through a wholesale representative. You may be accepted or refused depending on a number of factors including your location, client base and resale intentions.
