Types of Dressing: Casual and Power
Fashion For Women With Curves
Fashion for a woman with curves is as stylish and exciting as she wants it to be. Instead of hiding your curves, embrace them and dress so you can feel beautiful and attractive. When you feel attractive, you will carry yourself confidently and the world will know you are beautiful both inside and out.
Dress For Your Shape
The best way to dress your curves is to figure out your body shape, embrace it and then dress to show it off. Women with curves have different body shapes in the same way that slimmer women have different body shapes. By choosing clothing that will flatter your specific body shape, you will not only feel more comfortable in your clothing you will also look stylish and beautiful.
The four main body shapes for any woman, regardless of her size, are apple, pear, hourglass and column.
An apple-shaped woman carries the bulk of her weight in her waistline. A pear-shaped woman carries most of her weight in the hips and thighs area. A woman with an hourglass shape is more equally balanced between the bust and the hips. A woman with a column shape does not have the same curves and is more of a straight line down from the bust to the hips.
Apple Shapes
Choose clothing that accentuates shapely legs and arms and minimizes a heavier waistline. Ruffled sleeves and necklines take the eye away from the waist. Look for tailored blouses with a tie slightly above the waist to give the illusion of an hourglass shape. This kind of blouse can easily be paired with a pencil skirt for a long, slimming effect. A wrap dress will flatter and highlight all of the curves you love. Wear jeans and pants with a slight boot-cut to balance out the upper body.
Pear Shapes
Look for clothing that flatters your smaller waistline and draws attention upward. Necklines that are daring or interesting are often a good choice for pear-shaped women. A V-neck blouse will bring the eye up to the upper body to accentuate and flatter. Wear comfortable belted blouses to highlight your waist. Cropped skirts or pants can be comfortable and attractive when paired with a tunic-styled blouse that is cinched at the waist. Find flirty and feminine dresses that drape well and make you feel pretty.
Hourglass Shapes
Find clothing that accentuates a small waistline and minimizes larger bust, arms and hip areas. Ruffles at the neckline and sleeves will conceal some areas in a flattering way. Blouses and jackets that show off a small waist and draw the eye away from the lower body will be instantly slimming to an hourglass-shaped woman. Look for skirts and pants with long clean lines like pencil skirts and bootleg trousers and jeans. Belted and tailored dresses that show off the waist are a flattering choice.
Column Shapes
Women with a column shape carry their weight evenly from top to bottom. Look for clothing that adds interest to your shape with varied necklines, ruffles, ties and belts. Long, slim skirts and pants are an excellent choice for column-shaped women. Blouses and jackets with V-necks or scoop necks will bring the eye upward for a pleasing effect. Create the illusion of curves by using necklines and waistlines that are rouched for an instantly flattering look.

Tie Clip Instructions
Clip your Ties
A tie clip is not only a practical way to tack your tie to your shirt, but it can be an additional way to accessorize and add your personal style to your everyday business and formal wear. Whether you are attempting to keep the tail of your tie in line, or avoid drooping and hanging during physical activity, learning properly wear the clip will ensure that taste and class isn't sacrificed in the name of practicality.
Selecting a Tie Clip
Select a tie clip that is appropriate for your outfit and coordinate your other accessories to match. This means that if you are sporting a pair of silver cuff links and a silver pen is tucked into your suit jacket pocket, it is a good idea to wear a silver tie clip as well. Coordinating with your tie is also an option if you have a clip that matches or complements in color. For special events, such as holidays or political events, a themed clip with a logo, flag or festive image can be appropriate when done with taste. For formal events or the workplace, it is safer to keep your tie clip minimal in design.
Position a Tie Clip
Position your tie clip according to your outfit. If you plan to wear a suit jacket and the tie clip is a practical tool rather than a fashion accessory, you have the option of attaching the tie clip towards the bottom tip where it will be invisible under your jacket. This leaves you with a stationary tie, but no worries about positioning, as the clip is fully concealed by the jacket. To use your clip as part out the formal ensemble, you should know that positioning depends on personal taste. There is no set rule about where a tie clip should be work in relation to your build or tie, but you should try to place it within the center third of your tie's length. This means that you could wear it towards the top of your tie where the width is just over that of your clip, or you can position it on the lower end and below your chest where it will be visible.
Attaching a Tie Clip
Most tie clips are designed to be attached from right to left, and you should be careful in applying your tie clip from this direction if you are using one with a design or pattern that needs to positioned properly. Open the clip with your fingers, holding it open with your right hand so as to easily slide it onto your shirt and tie. Use your left hand to smooth your tie and ensure that the front and back tails are evenly centered. Slide the clip on, being sure to include both tails of the tie. To avoid a hanging tie, you can slide the tie clip into the center buttoned seam of the shirt as well, to keep it securely in place. Straighten it out to be sure it's not crooked or diagonal. Check your tie clip periodically throughout the day and adjust as necessary.

Your Style can Change Your Life
Wedding Etiquette And Traditions
Traditions and etiquette are important elements of wedding day celebrations.
Planning a wedding is an exciting time for the bride and groom. A well-executed wedding requires attention to detail and advanced planning. Understanding traditions and etiquette will help the couple better prepare for their wedding day and help guests and family members feel welcome and appreciated. Although traditions and etiquette have evolved through the years to reflect modern tastes, many elements of the wedding celebration remain unchanged.
Bridal Showers
Bridal showers are a fun and exciting wedding tradition. The custom of throwing the bride a shower originated in Holland. Legend has it that a wealthy Dutch girl fell in love with a poor miller. The girl's parents disapproved of her choice for a husband and refused to give her a dowry. When the local townspeople learned of her decision to marry for love, they showered the young couple with all of the necessary items to set up a household.
As with most wedding events, generally accepted etiquette guides the bridal shower event. Traditionally, the maid or matron of honor holds a shower in the bride's honor several weeks prior to the wedding. In the past, the bridal shower was often a surprise for the bride and a girls-only event. Today, it is acceptable to consult the bride on dates and themes for the shower as well as to host a couples shower for the bride and the groom.
Invitations
Tradition and etiquette play an important role in creating, addressing and delivering wedding invitations. The wording of the invitation and the addressing of the envelope can offend and cause hurt feelings if not handled properly. Traditionally, the bride's parents host (pay for) the wedding and therefore extend the invitation to attend the event. Rules have relaxed, however, and traditional family arrangements have changed throughout the years. It is now common for one parent to host, both sets of parents to host, or even the bride and groom to host their own wedding. The proper wording for each situation is available in wedding planning guides, magazines and websites.
Bride's Dress
The highly romanticized white wedding dress was actually not common until 1840, when Queen Victoria wore a white gown on her wedding day. White quickly became the preferred color for wedding dresses and has come to symbolize the bride's purity and joy. Before the popularization of the white wedding dress, brides often selected a color that held a special meaning or flattered their individual coloring. Many brides also chose dresses that could be worn again or altered to create a more practical style when the wedding was over.
In the past, wedding etiquette dictated that brides only wear a white dress at their first wedding ceremony. If a bride were getting married for a second time, she was expected to choose a different color. Today, most wedding experts agree that the color and style of the dress is the bride's decision. It is completely appropriate for a second-time bride to wear a white dress or a first-time bride to wear a color other than white.
Gifts and Thank-You Notes
Gifts have long been an important component of wedding day festivities. Traditionally, guests would give household items to assist the bride and groom in setting up their new household. Today, couples receive a wide variety of gifts including household items, money, gift cards and even money to pay for some or all of their honeymoon. Guests often believe they are required to bring a certain type of gift or select a gift from the couple's registry. There is not a standard guideline for giving wedding gifts. Wedding experts advise guests to give any gift that they feel is appropriate for the occasion.
Etiquette experts have long advised couples to send hand-written thank you notes for wedding gifts. With easy accessibility to the Internet and cell phones, hand-written notes often seem antiquated or outdated. Many brides and grooms may mistakenly think that it is appropriate to text or email thank-you notes. According to the Emily Post Institute, hand-written thank you notes are one tradition that has not changed. "All guests should receive hand-written thank-you notes for their gifts."
Reception
The reception includes some of the most-loved wedding traditions, including the bouquet and garter tosses, cake cutting ceremony, champagne toast and the couple's first dance. Wedding reception etiquette is not as strict as other components of the wedding celebration, as the reception is often considered a time to relax and celebrate the couple's new life together. Most elements of the reception are completely at the discretion of the couple and should reflect the couple's preferences for entertaining guests.

Job Description Of An Apprentice Chef
Working as an apprentice chef is a valuable way to gain experience.
Individuals interested in becoming a chef often train as an apprentice, or commis (a junior chef). Through this position, people get to work in the food industry, performing basic tasks as they learn. Working in a professional kitchen, training under a full-time chef has proved to be a beneficial way to learn about the restaurant business for many aspiring chefs.
Education
Some individuals work as apprentices in addition to attending culinary school. In this case, they can choose to do an apprenticeship concurrently or after finishing their program in culinary school. Many kitchens, however, do not require that apprentices have formal education in a hospitality program. Many aspiring chefs, therefore will chose to work for longer as an apprentice instead of going to culinary school since it is much more financially appealing. The American Culinary Federation accredits more than 200 formal training programs while sponsoring apprenticeship programs all over the U.S. Most apprenticeships last two years and combine both work experience and time in the classroom.
Skills
An apprentice chef needs to be passionate and knowledgeable about the food industry. She should have basic culinary skills, such as knife skills, and knowledge of different ingredients, cooking equipment and kitchen procedures. Working as an apprentice chef, however, is supposed to be a crucial time for aspiring chefs to develop many of the skills and knowledge they will later need to run their own kitchens. It is a time for them to foster skills as well as experience the demands, pace and pressure of a kitchen.
Duties
These employees perform some of the tedious tasks involved with operating a restaurant, dining hall, or cafeteria. An apprentice helps a chef prepare and cook dishes while training to be a full-time chef himself. He also oversees food supplies in refrigerators and storerooms, cleans and serves food when necessary. Additionally, under supervision, he operates kitchen equipment such as mixers, choppers, fryers, toasters, steamers, stoves and ovens.
Work Environment
Apprentice chefs typically work in kitchens in restaurants, hotels, schools, catering companies and food service contractors. Although the seating areas of these places are attractive, the kitchens apprentice chefs work in can be hectic. They are often hot, crowded, and filled with potential safety hazards such as slippery floors and hot ovens. The pace can be hectic and work schedules can include long hours.
Salary
According to All Culinary Schools' website, the annual earnings of the middle 50 percent of apprentice chefs in March 2010 range from $22,233 to $28,695 a year. From this position, however, many individuals move on to become sous chefs who earn between $33,192 and $53,123 a year and eventually to being executive chefs who make on average between $57,471 and $87,563 a year.
Job Outlook
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor, employment of chefs is expected to increase 6 percent between 2008 and 2018, which is slightly slower than for most occupations. Job opportunities are still expected to be good, however. Keen competition is expected at upscale restaurants since they typically pay more. As the economy is in flux workers with a strong business sense are expected to become more competitive applicants. The fast pace, necessary high energy levels, and long hours for these jobs often lead to high turnover in employment.

How to Wear Skinny Ties
Things That Can Be Made Out Of Old Men'S Shirts
Save an old unwanted shirt from the garbage pile by reinventing it.
Men's button-down shirts can be recycled and refashioned in many ways to create new outfits, accessories and home furnishings. Turn a shirt that is past its prime into a new favorite outfit or item by using a little creativity and simple sewing skills.
Clothing
A medium or oversized men's shirt can easily be fashioned into a cute summer dress. Cut off the sleeves of the shirt, sew them into a belt to tie around the waist and turn the shirt into a shirt dress. Cut off the upper portion of the shirt and turn the shirt into a tube dress. Make ruffles out of the leftover fabric and attach them to the front of the dress for decoration or sew them along the hem of the dress.
Create a peasant skirt by cutting the shirt into long strips of fabric and sewing them together into tiers. Use different colored shirts to make a multicolored skirt. Take advantage of the large size of the shirt and cut off the top half of the shirt, sew in elastic casings on the top edge as well as the hem and turn it into a bubble skirt.
Turn the shirt into a set of pajamas for a young girl by cutting the shirt in half width-wise and fashioning the top half into a camisole and the bottom half into a pair of shorts. Remove the collar and cuffs and sew an elastic casing in the neck hole to create a comfortable nightgown.
Around the Home
Paper towels and napkins can be wasteful and expensive but turning a man's shirt into cloth napkins can be a cheaper and more environmentally friendly alternative. Cut the fabric into whatever size square you want and finish the edges to create your new napkin.
Turn a men's shirt into an apron by cutting off the sleeves and removing the back of the shirt. Cut the front of the shirt into the desired shape and use the leftover fabric to make strings and a pocket for the apron.
Make throw pillows using the back of the shirt. Cut the pillow squares whatever size you would like and sew them together. Use a different colored shirt to create contrast piping for the pillow and add the buttons as decorations. Leftover fabric can also be used to make ruffles for the pillow.
Accessories
Cuffs can be made from a men's shirt by cutting off the cuff and finishing the raw edge. Attach a ruffle to the cuff to create a romantic Victorian look.
Men's shirts can be recycled to make hair accessories like scrunchies by cutting them into strips. Sew the strips together to make a casing and insert an elastic.

Tuxedo Tie Options
A black bow tie is usually a safe choice for a tuxedo ensemble.
A black tuxedo is the standard menswear for formal occasions, including weddings. In addition to the tuxedo coat, trousers and collared shirt, men may choose between different related accessories. Vests and cummerbunds are classic additions, but the most important tuxedo accessory is the tie. A man has several tie options when he dons his tuxedo, and while a good decision can make him appear traditional or modern, a bad one can make him look absurd.
Bow Tie Color
A tuxedo is standard dress for traditional white tie and black tie events. White tie, the most formal type of dress, is very uncommon and requires a stiff white bow tie. Black tie events require the eponymous black bow tie, which can be purchased individually or in a set with a vest or cummerbund. For less traditional events, a colored or patterned bow tie may be appropriate. Generally, if your event invitation specifically uses the phrase "white tie" or "black tie," stick with the prescribed color. Events labeled "creative black tie" are more forgiving to other choices.
Bow Tie Styles
The butterfly bow tie is most common and traditional, with an appearance resembling the spread wings of a butterfly. A narrower and less formal alternative is the batwing bow tie, whose vertical spread is only about half as wide. Large butterfly ties are also available for men with larger necks or comical costumes. Bow ties with pointed ends are a unique twist on the standard bow tie that is still appropriate for formal events.
Pre-tied vs. Self-tied
Bow ties are notoriously difficult to tie correctly. You may skip the effort by purchasing a pre-tied bow tie that simply clasps around your neck. Although a pre-tied bow will withstand the scrutiny of your peers at a prom, a more formal event requires a self-tied bow. When purchasing or renting a self-tied bow, you can choose between adjustable and fixed length ties. An adjustable length tie may be tightened to fit any neck length. Fixed length ties are sold in small, medium and large sizes depending on neck length. The size of the bow on a fixed length tie will be proportional to your neck.
Other Ties
For less formal events that nonetheless require a tuxedo, other tie options are available. A standard long necktie can be a fashionable accompaniment to a tuxedo. When wearing a long necktie, swap the usual tuxedo shirt for a normal white dress shirt. To avoid looking mismatched, choose plain, solid tie colors such as blue, black or silver. Depending on your personal style, you may choose a more unique tie. Ascot ties and Euro ties are wide ties that provide an interesting accent to the standard tuxedo look. In some areas, such as the American Southwest, a bolo or shoestring tie is worn with a tuxedo to add a regional flair.

The Types Of Men'S Belt Buckles
A man's belt buckle can say a lot about him.
A man's belt and its buckle do more than just hold up his pants. They also make a fashion statement, and even a comment about the man himself. There's a belt and buckle for every occasion, except the most formal. Men's formal attire (also known as "white tie," "top hat and tails" or "morning dress") and semiformal attire ( AKA "black tie," tuxedo or dinner jacket) are not worn with a belt --- and indeed, have no belt loops at all --- but with suspenders. On all other occasions, a carefully selected belt buckle is an integral part of a man's ensemble.
Tang Buckle
The classic tang buckle consists of a closed loop and one or two tangs or prongs. The loop, which may be of any shape, is fastened to the belt on one side that usually takes the form of a straight bar. The prong (or prongs) is attached to the bar and protrudes through an opening in the belt where it folds around the bar. When the free end of the belt is passed through the loop, the prong is passed through a hole in the belt and comes to rest on the top surface of the opposite end of the loop. The free end of the belt is usually secured by a keeper.
Snap Buckle
Snap buckles come in two parts that are attached to opposite sides of the belt, one on the upper surface of one side and the other on the underside of the opposite side. The upper piece usually has two male (protruding) parts that fit tightly into opposing female (hollow) parts on the other side of the belt when pressed together.
Military Buckle
The military buckle is used on a belt that does not have holes, but is fitted with a ridged plastic strip sewn on the inner surface of the belt. To secure the belt, this strip mates with an oppositely-ridged catch inside the buckle The catch is opened by pressing a release button on the underside of the buckle. This type of buckle is popular on a woven belt for casual wear, and may be plain, polished or antiqued metal or ornamented to the wearer's personal taste.
Clip Buckle
The clip buckle is a flat or slightly dished plate with a bar on the underside of one end shaped rather like a towel rack, and a hooked prong at the other end. The belt is fastened to the bar and the hook engages a hole in the opposite end of the belt, which then passes through the space between the belt and the buckle plate and laps over the belt past the buckle. This is the type of buckle used on a Western or cowboy belt, and may be a trophy awarded for winning a rodeo event.
Wrestling Buckle
Surprisingly, a wrestling belt buckle, although on the front of the belt, is a plate fixed permanently to the belt itself and is not used to fasten the belt, which is secured by multiple snaps on each side.

The Suggested Prom Gown Style For Someone With A Belly Bulge
The waist can be a problem area at any age.
Naturally, girls want to shine at their prom. Prom is a major social event, typically an annual high school dance for juniors and seniors. Students dress in elegant formal wear and bring a date or go with a group of their friends. For girls with a bit of a belly bulge who want to hide it and look their absolute best, they should opt to wear empire waist dresses to the prom.
Empire Waist Dress
An empire waist dress features a waistline that attaches or cinches right under the bust, which has a slimming effect as it contrasts with the fullness of the bust. The dress then flows down from the raised waistline and skips over the tummy area completely for an A-line skirt shape; the fabric is not tight over the stomach and does not cinch this area at all. In fact, any belly bulge is effectively hidden by the drape of the dress.
Romantic and Historical
An empire waist is a very romantic and versatile style. Empire waist dresses are usually available with short cap sleeves, long sleeves or no sleeves at all, and come in knee length, tea length or floor length. Modern empire waist dresses are available in many colors and with different details like beading or ribbons. However, for a more historical look, girls can take advantage of the empire waist dress's associations with Juliet from "Romeo and Juliet" and the early 1800s, and opt for a more historical-looking ensemble. Girls can look for inspiration in films like "Pride and Prejudice" and Franco Zeffirelli's "Romeo and Juliet."
Undergarments
To ensure that the belly bulge is not visible at all on their prom night, girls should opt for some assistance from special undergarments. By lightly compressing the area with strong stretchy fabric, high-waisted, camisole or slip body shapers can smooth and trim the tummy area and keep it from moving anywhere.
Corset Dress
If the girl have very large busts that require lots of support or the empire waist dress option does not satisfy her for some reason, a girl can also opt for a more grown-up option in the form of a corset dress. This consists of a fully boned corset with straps that extends over the hips and is worn with a full and floor-length skirt. A fully boned corset not only hides a belly bulge, it visibly cinches in and reduces the waist.

What Do You Wear To A Redtie Dinner
A red-tie dinner is held to raise money for charity. The dinner can be sponsored by an individual or charity organization. Participants are not restricted to wearing red ties. Some red-tie dinner invitations specify what you should wear, but if the organizers do not include a dress code, select formal or semi-formal wear. Black-tie dress code appropriate for charity events and fundraisers.
Formal Wear for Men
Men are required to wear a tuxedo without tails. Your shirt should be white or black with French cuffs and vertical pleats. The cummerbund should be black. If you like to wear cufflinks, they should be subtle and gold or black in color. Choose black leather shoes for a red-tie dinner and complete your look with a red or black silk tie. Colorful ties that match your cummerbund can also be worn to a charity event.
Men's Semi-formal Wear
For a charity event set in a less formal setting, you can have semi-formal wear. Put on some dress slacks with a dress shirt and tie. Jackets are optional for semi-formal wear. Some of the events do not require you to wear a tie. You can wear a turtleneck with a jacket if the event is not formal.
Ladies Formal Wear
Ladies have more options when choosing outfits for a formal event. Select an evening dress or cocktail gown for the charity dinner. You need a floor-length cocktail gown made of a high-end fabric. A short dress is only suitable for daytime events. Accessorize your gown with classic pieces of jewelry. Your shoes should be subtle in terms of design and color. When dressing for a red-tie dinner, select classic jewelry and clothing designs.
Colors
Some men prefer to dress in black or white when attending a red-tie dinner, but this does not have to be the case. Choose from a variety of colors as long as your outfit is formal or semi-formal. For ladies, gowns and dresses for a charity event should be in rich and dark colors. Some of the colors that you can wear include black, rich red, navy, green and white. These colors are appropriate for evening occasions. For an elegant red-tie dinner, you can also wear a silver or champagne gold evening dress.

Grooming Standards For Men
There are some timeless grooming standards for men.
Personal grooming standards for men fluctuate depending on different situations and settings. A job interview calls for one set of grooming standards, while enlistment in the military calls for something different. But no matter what scenario you're preparing yourself for, there are some timeless rules about personal appearance and grooming you should adhere to.
Hairstyle
You'll never go wrong if you keep your hair short and freshly cut on a regular basis. You'd be surprised how much the right haircut can say about a person, so it's an important consideration. For example, the Career Connection Center at the Columbus Technical College states that when preparing yourself for a job interview, it's wise to have your hair trimmed, washed and arranged in a fashionable way.
The military, however, is much stricter about your hairstyle. In fact, it usually tells you exactly how you have to appear. The second chapter of the U.S. Navy Uniform Code states that your hair cannot exceed a total length of 4 inches and cannot touch your ears or shirt collar. Two haircuts that are most commonly worn in all of the military branches are the crew cut and the fade---they're always a safe choice.
Facial Hair
If you wear a beard or a moustache, it's important to keep it clean and trimmed for professional purposes. But not wearing any facial hair at all is the safest approach for a clean look. If you don't wear facial hair, then make sure you're freshly shaven before you have to make a professional appearance. Days-old stubble has a weathered and disheveled look, keeping you from your goals.
Clothing
Your clothing decisions should depend on your goals. Certain fashions come and go, but there will always be a conservative standard you can depend on. Business clothes and suits should be muted---you don't want anything loud drawing negative attention to you.
Also, be aware of your surroundings: what you wear should depend on your setting. An interview, meeting or conference demands a strictly professional look, whereas a more casual location will allow you a little more freedom in what you wear.
Habits
Always make sure that you brush and floss your teeth as well as use mouthwash to clean up your mouth and breath. Avoid potent foods, and if you smoke or use tobacco, eat a breath mint afterward. Keep your fingernails clipped and clean, always shower and use deodorant before making an appearance, and avoid using cologne. It can be too strong and makes a negative impression if overused.

Measure For A Tuxedo Fitting
Whether you're headed to the prom, a wedding, or whatever your formal occasion, having a tuxedo that fits is crucial. If it's too tight or too short, the look is ruined, and being careless with your measurements is a way to cause it not to fit. It's best to have someone else measure you so that mistakes aren't made. Don't make the tape measure overly tight so that you're uncomfortable in the tuxedo.
Instructions
1. Measure the chest by measuring with your arms above your head. Measure right under your arms, making sure to go over the shoulder blades at the fullest part.
2. Measure height and weight.
3. Measure the outseem with shoes on by measuring from the outside of the arch of the shoe, up your leg, up to the height of the navel.
4. Measure the overarm by measuring the same way as with the chest except for over the arms.
5. Measure the neck by measuring from were the collar normally falls all the way around the neck. Allow enough room to breath.
6. Measure the sleeve by measuring with your arm straight down at your side. Place tape at the base of the neck down the arm to the wrist.
7. Compare to a sizing chart.

Wear A Fedora
Wear a Fedora
Whether it's Indiana Jones running from the Nazis or Usher making his way down the red carpet at the Grammys, men in fedoras seem more dashing than their bare-headed contemporaries. Wearing a fedora well is easy; wearing it badly is easy too, so take care to follow these instructions to do it right.
Instructions
1. Buy two fedoras, one made of straw for daytime wear and a felt or twill one to wear at night. Buy brown fedoras if you wear brown suits, black or gray ones for black, gray or navy suits.
2. Ensure that you have the correct size, so that it neither falls down around your ears or leaves a red mark on your forehead when you remove it.
3. Change your hairstyle so it will look good both when the hat is on and when you take it off.
4. Wear your fedora tilted forward so the brim is near your eyebrows. You may also wear it slightly askew.
5. Add a personal touch to your fedora by adding a feather.
6. Drive a car with enough headroom to allow you to wear your fedora while driving. If this isn't possible, always remove your fedora before getting into the car. Never make the mistake of letting the roof of your car knock your fedora off your head.
7. Take your fedora off indoors unless you're in a lobby or elevator. If a woman enters the elevator, take your fedora off. Outdoors, you can tip your fedora by slightly raising the brim when encountering a woman. If you stop to talk to the woman, remove your fedora. Remove your fedora for the National Anthem or in the presence of the US flag.
