Measure A Tux For A Ring Bearer

,

The ring bearer and flower girl are usually dressed as miniature grooms and brides.

A ring bearer is generally a boy who is between the ages of 3 and 6 and is related to or is a child of a close friend of the bride and groom. Traditionally, the ring bearer is dressed as a miniature groom, wearing a matching tuxedo. During the ceremony, the ring bearer escorts the flower girl down the aisle.

Instructions

1. Measure him for his jacket. Run the tape measure around his chest, underneath his armpits with his arms at his side. Measure the outer edge of his arm, starting at the shoulder and down to his wrist, and then measure the distance from shoulder to shoulder.

2. Run the tape measure entirely around his neck, just above the collarbone. Place two fingers between the tape measure and his neck in order to ensure that the shirt is not too tight.

3. Measure the outseam for his pants. Place the tape measure at his waist and run it down to the floor. Depending on the tuxedo vendor, you may need to measure his inseam by starting at the top inside of his leg and measuring down to his ankle.

4. Write down all the measurements in inches. These measurements will be used to determine his size on the size chart of the tuxedo company from which you are ordering.
