A way two people joining in matrimony can portray their love for each other is to get matching tattoos. The bond of marriage is meant to last forever and tattoos are meant to as well, though extenuating circumstances can end a marriage or remove a tattoo, so a fear of permanence should be heavily considered but shouldn't be a primary reason to avoid either one.
Rings
A modern idea for matching wedding rings can be ring tattoos that wrap around your left ring fingers. But if you or your partner wish to wear real rings on your fingers then a ring tattoo can be placed almost anywhere else on your bodies. The comedic way to symbolize your playful love for each other is to get matching ball and chain tattoos. The place that makes the most sense for these tattoos would be just above the ankles of your right or left ankles, though any place would work. A married couple can each get a portrait of their partner on any one of several places on their bodies. Portraits generally need to be large to adequately show detail, so the best spaces should be large and ideally flat surfaces, but it is not a requirement.
