The bowtie in "Poptropica" works like a grappling hook, which helps your character get to out-of-reach areas. The bowtie attaches to any surface and shoots in any direction -- as long as it is equipped. This valuable tool is given to your character as a reward for rescuing the restrained agent on Toupee Terrace. Once you've acquired the bowtie, no height is too high. As a result, areas once unreachable are now accessible for exploration. Using the grappling bowtie is straightforward.
Instructions
1. Right-click the bowtie icon on the bottom-left corner of the screen to equip the grappling bowtie.
2. Shoot the grappling bowtie by right-clicking on the ledge you want it to attach to.
3. Press "Space" to jump and at the highest point in the jump, click on the ledge to shoot the grappling bowtie. This extends the bowtie's reach.
4. Press the "Up" arrow on the keyboard to climb the grappling bowtie or press the "Left" and "Right" arrow keys to swing.
5. Right-click to release the bowtie and drop your character on the higher platform.
