Instructions
1. Cut the green floral foam brick to fit inside a 4-inch clay pot. Apply hot glue to the inside bottom and sides of the pot and insert the cut foam brick. Cut a piece of sheet moss to cover the top of the pot. Apply hot glue to the foam and cover with the cut sheet moss.
2. Smear an 18-inch-long piece of 1/2-inch dowel with craft glue. Starting at one end, wind 1/4-inch-wide ribbon around the dowel and spiral it to the other end of the dowel. Apply a dot of hot glue to secure the end. Center and insert an end of the dowel through the sheet moss and into the foam. Remove the dowel. Fill the hole with craft glue and reinsert the dowel. Center and place a 6-inch floral foam ball on top of the glued dowel. Remove the ball. Fill the hole with craft glue and place the ball back on the dowel.
3. Cover the ball by applying hot glue and cutting and piecing the sheet moss over the surface.
4. Cut three pieces of 1-inch tulle ribbon, 28 inches long. Find the center of one piece and pin to the top of the ball using a floral pin. Find the center of another piece of ribbon and pin crosswise over the first. Gather the ribbon down under the ball and attach to the dowel with a 4-inch piece of floral wire. Tie the remaining ribbon over the floral wire and tie into a bow. Trim the ends of the ribbons at an angle.
5. Form a multilooped bow with the remaining tulle ribbon. Pin the bow to the top of the ball with a floral pin and trim the ends at an angle.
6. Cut 24 pieces of pearl bead trim, 4 inches long. Space and pin the centers of six bead pieces in each quarter section of the topiary between the ribbons on the ball using the floral pins. Cut the silk flower rosebud stems down to 2 inches long, using wire cutters. Leave a branch of silk rose leaves on each side of the bud. Apply a dab of craft glue to the bottom of each rosebud and fully insert over the pin on each bead piece.
7. Cut several 4-inch lengths of silk ivy garland. Insert them randomly between the silk flower roses on the topiary. Insert the remaining garland into the bottom of the silk flower topiary ball and wind it loosely around the dowel. When you come to the bottom of the dowel, cut the ivy and insert it into the clay pot.
