Armani Collezioni
Armani is a premium, high-fashion clothing brand, with several collections and levels of pricing. Armani Collezioni features some of the most coveted menswear designs, and season after season Armani's business and casual shirts are some of the most popular and iconic. Learn the proper instructions for washing your Armani Collezioni shirts to preserve the color, fabric and life of the garment.
Professional Cleaning
When cleaning an Armani shirt, your first choice should be dry cleaning or getting the "wash and fold" service from a professional cleaner. A professional has the machinery and knows the tricks that will give the color and fabric of your shirt that extra boost.
Follow Washing Instructions
For at-home washing, carefully follow the washing instructions on the shirt's care tag. Unbutton the shirt and check the right-side seam. The front side of your care tag will note the material(s) your shirt is made of, for example, "100% Cotton." Use the correct water temperature for the material when washing the shirt. A cotton shirt, for example, should never be washed or dried using high heat, which will cause shrinking. Hot water can also fade fabric dyes, so use warm or cold water. Flip the tag over to find the specific instructions for washing. Of the six languages, the second set of instructions are in English (following the Italian). The first sentence will tell you wash the shirt (whether or not you can machine wash or wash by hand), followed by recommendations, such as "Dry Clean Only."
If the care tag is removed, have your shirt sent to a dry cleaner's, or follow these common Armani Collezioni tag instructions for a men's button-down shirt: "Machine wash warm. Do not bleach. Warm iron. Dry clean. Do not tumble dry."
Hang your clean shirt to dry. For collared shirts, be sure to button all buttons, including sleeves, and fold over the collar. Use a warm iron to remove creases after drying.
