Players in "NBA 2K11" for the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3), Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii have a flashy pass rating. The higher the rating, the higher the chance that the player will perform a flashy pass, such as a behind-the-back or a no-look pass. It is practically useless to
perform a flashy pass with a big player like Shaquille O'Neal who has a very low flashy pass rating, so only use players who have a high flashy pass rating.
Instructions
1. Pass the ball to a player who has a high flashy pass rating. Players, like LeBron James and Steve Nash, have a high flashy pass rating. Press "X" to pass on the PS3, "A" on the Xbox 360 or "A" on the Wii.
2. Hold down the "Sprint" button with the player with flashy pass rating. Press "R2" on the PS3, "RT" on the Xbox 360 or "B" on the Wii.
3. Press the pass button while continuing to hold down the "Sprint" button. The player will perform a pass that only a few in the game can do.

A simple ribbon or belt can change an ordinary shirt to an empire-waist look.
Although originally intended for pregnant women, over the past few decades empire waists have gained popularity in the rest of the fashion world. This style of is marked by a wide, flowing waist that usually features a belt or a tie directly below the chest area and hides the waistline rather than enhancing it. It can be worn to draw attention away from an overweight middle or to purposely attract the eye to the chest area.
Instructions
1. Measure the area below your chest with a measuring tape. This is where a ribbon will go, and you should make sure it is long enough to fit around your waist and provide a nice-sized bow in the back.
2. Measure the ribbon to be approximately twice as long as the area below your chest.
3. Cut the ribbon accordingly, making sure to cut as straight across as possible so the ends do not fray.
4. Try on the shirt to determine which part of it falls directly under your chest, then mark the area with your finger.
5. Take off the shirt and insert a needle and thread into that spot on one side, starting from inside the shirt and bringing the needle through to the outside.
6. Sew a loop on the outside of your shirt by inserting the needle back into the shirt a few inches below where you started. Tie a knot in the back to keep the thread in place.
7. Repeat steps five and six on the other side of the shirt so you have one loop on each side.
8. Place the cut ribbon in the front of the shirt and thread one end through one loop and one end through the other. The loops will keep the ribbon in place and prevent it from sliding down.
9. Put the shirt back on and tie the ribbon into a bow behind your back.

Cotton provides seersucker with the lightweight quality many look for in summer.
Seersucker is a lightweight, puckered fabric that can be made from many different materials but is most commonly made from cotton. Many times, seersucker fabric is used to make men's summer suits because of the lightweight cotton. Easy care makes seersucker fabric ideal for summer and vacation clothing for men and women. A definite plus to seersucker fabric is that most of the time you do not need to iron the clothing.
Instructions
1. Check the garment for any stains. Pretreat the fabric with a stain lifter if necessary.
2. Place the seersucker fabric in the washing machine.
Bleach may be used for whites but might cause yellowing in dyed seersucker fabric.
3. Set washer water temperature to cold.
4. Remove garment from washer and place promptly in the dryer. Your dryer heat setting should be set at a medium heat. If you dry the fabric on a higher setting, you could risk shrinking the garment. You may also choose to hang the garment to dry in order to avoid any possible shrinking.

Studs can add finesse and style to a leather jacket.
Attaching studs to an old leather jacket or shirt can inject it with style and credibility and make a dated outfit look like the peak of fashion. Leather studs are also used as accessories to a range of rock or punk style outfits. Studs can be attached to all kinds of leather items including trousers, handbags, belts, jackets and shoes.
Instructions
1. Select the kind of studs you want to attach to your garment or belt. Studs designed to attach to leather usually have pronged bases to pierce the material. Studs fitted with screws are better for thicker, coarser leather items such as handbags.
2. Examine stud designs for belts, handbags or jackets by looking through magazines or Internet fashion sites. Check to make sure the design you pick is compatible with the kind of leather you have.
3. Lay out your leather shirt or jacket on a flat surface such as a counter top or table.
4. Press the stud firmly against the point on the leather where you want the stud to set. There will now be a mark on the leather you can use for guidance on where to attach the stud.
5. Pierce a hole using a thin, straight pin through the point you marked in Step 4. Check to make sure the pin has a smaller tip that the stud itself or the hole will be too broad for the stud to set. A leather punch can be used for thicker items such as leather handbags.
6. Push the stud against the leather at the point where you made the hole with a pin. Some studs come fitted with prongs for extra security. Fold the prongs down using a flat knife or pliers. The prongs should fold in toward the middle of the stud. Prongs that jut out may cause scratches.
7. Screw in the base areas of the stud with your forefinger and thumb if you are using screw-in studs. Repeat the process with the rest of the studs you want to attach to the leather item.
Dressing for a formal event requires the appropriate etiquette for woman. Formal wear is required at weddings, garden parties and debutant balls, among other events. Formal wear for woman can include dress gowns, ballgowns and cocktail dresses. The two types of formal wear are black tie and white tie. There are a variety of sub-categories that are not as formal.
Black Tie
Wear a long, floor-length evening gown to a black tie event. Gowns generally reach the ankles and are paired with matching shoes. There is no restriction on color. Evening-style separates are also appropriate. During summer months, and depending on the formality of the occasion, shorter cocktail dresses may be acceptable. If wearing a shorter dress, the dress should not be more than 1 inch above the knee. Cocktail dresses should not be over the top or flamboyant. Make sure dresses are tailored to fit your body style. A V-neck cut works well for larger woman. Wear a dress that includes pleats and folds nears the stomach to disguise any stomach problems.
Gloves
Wearing gloves is optional. The shorter the sleeve on the dress, the longer the glove should be. Opera-style gloves measure approximately 23 inches in length. For dresses with cap sleeves a 19-inch glove is appropriate. Three-quarter length sleeves are commonly paired with 15-inch gloves. Long-sleeved evening wear is worn with wrist-length. The look is elegant and formal. When in a receiving line, remove your right glove to shake hands. Remove your gloves when eating or drinking. Make sure gloves are not loose and fit tight.
White Tie
Dressing in the most formal style is white tie. The style is not as common in the United States as it is in Europe and other countries. It is also referred to as ultra-formal. Women should wear floor-length gowns that are as dressy and elaborate as they dare. Gowns can be evening gowns or ballgowns. Ballgowns flare out more and have a full skirt---hoop skirts or petticoats are often worn underneath a ball gown. An evening gown will be slimmer and straight. Gowns can include a variety of materials including pearls, silk and lace. White tie clothing is paired with fine jewelry and evening bags. Evening bags are commonly made from the dress material.
Coordinate
Ask your partner or date what he will be wearing to the event. Attempt to coordinate and match colors and styles. A couple that is wearing two different looks will not complement each other. The man can wear a cummerbund that flatters the woman's dress for a black tie event. A cummerbund is never worn at a white tie event. For a white tie event, the man can wear a lapel flower similar to the lady's dress color.
Shoes and Accessories
Embellish formal wear with accessories. Earrings, necklaces and bracelets can complement a simple formal dress. Diamonds, pearls and precious stones are acceptable. Only wear costume jewelry if it looks real. Always try on shoes with the dress before the event. Make sure your shoes are comfortable enough to wear for an entire evening. Always wear appropriate undergarments that do not show through formal wear. A variety of brassieres and lingerie items are available in boutique and formal wear shops.Keep evening bags small in size and match them to your evening wear.

With the powerful social networking tools available today, it can be tempting to forget about class reunions. However, despite these powerful new technologies and their abilities to bring people together, there is still something to be said for the traditional class reunion. Reunions represent an opportunity to see people you likely have not seen in some time, and they are a great opportunity to have some fun.
Seeing Old Friends
A class reunion is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends and acquaintances. As the years go by, it is very easy to lose touch with people you knew and for whom you cared. Even in today's age of instant messengers and social networking websites, life can get in your way. Having a class reunion can galvanize people. Rather than attempting an informal get-together at a bar or restaurant, a reunion provides a set date and time around which people can schedule in order to attend. It gives you and your classmates a legitimate excuse to meet.
Reconnecting With Instructors
Depending on how the reunion is to be structured, you may also have the opportunity to reconnect with your old instructors. Such a meeting can mean a great deal, both to the former student and the former teacher. Perhaps there is one specific lesson or thing that you learned from a teacher, and you've never had the opportunity to tell them just how much it helped you. The teacher also benefits from such an exchange as it shows that their teaching meant something to their students.
Showing Your Family Your Roots
Class reunions provide people with the opportunity to show their family where they came from. People often recount stories of their days as a student to the ones they love. These stories often involve people whom the listeners may have never met and locations they have never seen. Depending on the type of reunion, former students may be able to bring their families with them to meet all of the people and possibly see all of the places of which they have heard. A class reunion allows other to put faces and images to names and places.
Discovering Life's Paths
Simple curiosity may be the most powerful reason to attend or organize a class reunion. At a reunion you get to meet people whom you may not have seen for many years. During these meetings you can find out exactly where life has taken them. Maybe you are curious about who married whom or whether the class president made it as far into politics as she said she wanted to. It also gives you an opportunity to show others just where life has taken you. Reunions fill in the blanks about the lives of your classmates.

Onan Generators are small and compact. For this reason, they are used for recreational vehicle power, and on construction sites where no power is available. Using an internal combustion engine, the carburetor does develop problems from time to time. Onan is aware of these problems and offers some tips for overcoming them.
Fuel Varnishing
Fuel varnishing is a condition that develops when the generator sits for too long. The gasoline dries up, leaving behind a varnish-like glaze on all the components. The varnish binds up the carburetor, not allowing it to work. To prevent this problem, Onan recommends running the generator for at least two hours within a four week time frame. This will keep fresh gasoline in the carburetor, preventing old fuel from drying out.
Carburetor Icing
Carburetor icing happens in the cold weather. The moisture in the gasoline freezes up, not allowing the carburetor to work. The way cure this problem is to heat the generator up to a point above 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Onan recommends running the generator in the "Winter" mode if the temperature dips below 55 degrees Fahrenheit. This allows preheated air flowing over the exhaust to enter the carburetor, preventing icing.
High Altitude Performance Loss
Thinner air at higher altitudes affects carburetor performance. Onan states that at 4,000 feet above sea level, the generator will lose 14 percent of its power. The rule of thumb is that power loss equals 3.5 percent for every 1,000 feet above 500 feet. To compensate for this, the carburetor has to be adjusted for high altitude operating conditions. Onan recommends a qualified service technician do the adjustments.
Surging
Surging is a problem with small generators. Onan stated that the most common cause is a lack of maintenance on the fuel system. To correct this problem, first replace your old gasoline with fresh gasoline. Second, replace the air and fuel filter. Third, run the generator for two hours to flush out all the varnish and deposits in the carburetor. You may want to look inside the fuel tank before filling it with fresh gasoline. If it has dirt or grit on the bottom, clean it.
Sizing men's dress shirts isn't as simple as it might seem. Some brands like to try to ease consumers' minds by supplying shirts in sizes like medium, large and so on; but these types of sizings only serve to complicate matters. Men's dress shirts are sized according to a man's measurements: the neck, arm, and chest measurements determine the size of the dress shirt. If you know your measurements, you can measure the dress shirt with a tape measure and know for a fact if the shirt will fit.
Instructions
1. Measure around the center of your neck with the tape measure. Don't tightly wrap the tape measure around your neck. Put two fingers under the tape measure to simulate the room between your neck and a collar. Write down this neck measurement with the pencil on the notepad.
2. Wrap the tape measure around your chest, under your arms and across your back. Don't wrap the tape measure snugly. You want to be able to breathe and move without restriction. Add one inch to the measurement and write this measurement on the notepad with the pencil. This is your chest measurement.
3. Place the tape measure at the base of your neck where the back of the neck connects with your shoulder. Place the first inch of the tape measure there and hold it with your left hand reaching behind your neck. Allow the tape measure to trail over the right shoulder, along your right upper arm to your right elbow, and then down into your right hand. Grasp the tape measure with your hand and tug out any slack. Note the measurement that hits your wrist. This is your arm measurement. Write this measurement on the notepad with the pencil.
4. Use your neck measurement to determine the collar or neck size of the shirt you need. Use the chest measurement to determine the shirt's chest allowances. Use the arm measurement to determine the arm length of the dress shirt.
Men's dress shirts traditionally are available in all sizes, even half sizes. If you are in doubt, get the next half size up from your measurement. You can always camouflage a slightly too big collar with a tie, but you can't comfortably button a collar that's too tight. Some department stores allow you to special order very short or very long arm lengths and don't regularly stock them. If you have very short or long arms and need an arm length not on the shelves, ask a store clerk for ordering instructions.

A scarf can brighten an outfit with its simplicity, boldness or drama, but wrapping a square scarf can be quite the challenge, as it is not as simple as draping a regular winter scarf with its length and elegance. There are several ways to tie a square scarf, some which are more formal than others. While some approaches might work better with some fabrics than with others, tying a square scarf is something everyone can experiment with for striking results.
Instructions
The Simple Approach
1. Unfold the scarf, so it lies flat. The scarf can be of any fabric. However, silk can be quite difficult to fold because of its smooth surface. Fold the square scarf diagonally. To do this, pick any corner and carry it to the opposite corner. The square scarf should now be a large triangle. The two ends of the long fold are the ends by which the scarf will be tied.
2. Hold the triangle up, letting the pointy side hang downwards in front of the body. This should result in a horizontal line at eye level. Wrap the scarf around the neck and tie a knot in back. Letting the scarf hang loosely on the body is not only more casual, but can have a more dramatic impact if the scarf has bright colors, patterns or prints.
3. Tighten the scarf for a more formal look. To tighten the scarf to fit around the neck, cross the ends in back and then bring them around to the front, to tie the knot in front of the neck instead of behind the neck. The puffed up scarf in the front should be able to cover up the knot. Make sure the scarf is not tightened too much.
The Bow Tie Effect
4. Fold the scarf into a triangle by grabbing one corner and bringing it to the opposite corner.
5. Roll the scarf, starting from the long side and working towards the pointy end of the triangle. This might be quite difficult with a silk scarf, as it can slide. Make sure the roll is about 1 to 2 cm in width to avoid a rope-like appearance.
6. Wrap the roll around the neck and tie a quick knot for the bow tie effect. Make sure the ends of the knot look delicate and smooth to counterbalance the knot.

Weddings are one of the most traditional places to wear a boutonniere.
Weddings and proms are the obvious places to wear a boutonniere, but fashion continually reinvents itself, which means boutonnieres are, once again, in vogue. Movie stars like Clark Gable wore boutonnieres daily, making the women swoon with delight. There is something debonair about a man with a flower in his lapel.
Weddings
Boutonnieres are a traditional accessory to men's attire at weddings. In most instances, the groom, the groom's men and the fathers of the bride and groom wear boutonnieres. The type of flower they wear is optional. A rose is often the flower of choice because it symbolizes love and romance. However, many of today's grooms wear exotic flowers as well as herbs and wildflowers. Guests are not required to wear a boutonniere, as it is traditionally an accessory of the bridal party, only.
Proms
Teenage boys wear a boutonniere to the prom, which often compliments the flowers worn or carried by their date. The teenage girl gives the boutonniere to her date. Often, the girls give carnations that match the color of their gown or dress. Carnations are less expensive than other flowers. They, also, come in a large variety of natural as well as dyed color choices. Additionally, girls make the boutonniere for their date, which cuts costs. This adds meaning to the gift of a boutonniere.
Anniversaries
At a special anniversary celebration, rose boutonnieres are a popular choice.
Anniversaries are another place to wear a boutonniere. If the couple has children, then usually the children purchase a boutonniere for their father along with a corsage for their mother. If the occasion is on the formal side, then sons and sons-in-law, also, wear a boutonniere. Like weddings, the flower of choice is the rose. Silver or gold ribbon adds an accent for 25th or 50th wedding anniversary celebrations.
Other Occasions
Men today wear boutonnieres simply to add flair to their wardrobe. A night at the theater or on a special occasion, such as the birthday of a loved one, is an occasion for placing a flower in the lapel. Many men's shops carry silk carnation boutonnieres that last forever. In addition, silk flowers have no scent, a relief to those with allergies.

Finding the perfect pair of jeans is like the quest for the Holy Grail--nearly impossible. Tailor an existing pair of jeans to fit like a glove. Embellish an old pair of jeans with a little swift tailoring for fashionable style. Unleash the inner sewing diva and turn so-so jeans into va-va-voom jeans.
Instructions
1. Purchase or use an old pair of jeans for practice. Sketch a finished picture of the jeans you want to tailor. Measure the areas of the jeans to be taken in or shortened.
2. Use a flexible tape measure to measure the lengths and sizes of a pair of jeans, shorts or trousers that fits well. Put the measuring tape taut and measure the jeans when they are laying flat on a table. Jot down the measurements for the waistband, widest area of the hips, inseam and front rise (crotch to waistband).
3. Make the necessary cuts. To shorten jeans cut off the cuff so that it remains intact. Remove the extra length and then sew the cuff back on. Keep the seam very close to the edge of the cuff so you can't tell they were altered.
4. Use a seam ripper to take apart the sides of the jeans to take the legs in. Sew them back up with a wider seam allowance. Cut the waistband at the side and re-stitch to the desired fit.
5. Sew on fringe, trim or patches. Add grommets, studs or crystals if you want to embellish your jeans. Stitch the inside pockets down along the pocket opening if the pockets poke out.
A toned, youthful looking body is wanted by everyone, and it's not just toned abs or legs that we want. We want the face, chin and neck to look toned also. A double chin, however, seems to be the hardest area to tone up. You don't have to run to a surgeon, though, and spend thousands of dollars. There are a few exercises you can do at home to firm up your chin, and you can try a "chin wrap" made at home to give a temporary face lift, all without surgery.
Instructions
Getting Rid of a Double Chin With Exercise
1. One of the best ways to get rid of a double chin is through exercise. The chin is an overlooked area when it comes to an exercise or fitness program. To begin your exercise, sit in a straight chair with your spine pressed against the back of the chair.
2. Relax your shoulders and don't strain your neck.
3. Tilt your head back. Point your chin toward the ceiling.
4. Open your mouth slightly, and press your bottom jaw out toward the ceiling even further. (Your bottom teeth will jut out farther than your top teeth). Hold this position for 10 seconds.
5. Relax the jaw for 5 seconds, then repeat. Work up to 15 repetitions.
Getting Rid of a Double Chin With a Chin Wrap
6. Grapefruit oil is used in many home detox recipes, as it aids in drawing toxins out of the system. If you have a chin that is exceptionally large, this process may not give you such noticeable results, although it will give some.
7. Add 8 drops of essential grapefruit oil to 1/3 cup of olive oil. Stir.
8. Dip a cotton ball in the mixture, and then rub the mixture on your chin, covering your entire chin.
9. Wrap your chin in plastic wrap, starting at the top of your head, then down around your chin. Continue wrapping until your chin is completely wrapped tightly. (Make sure that the wrapping is done evenly, as the tightness of the wrap will make a difference in the outcome).
10. Wrap a towel around your wrapped chin, and relax for 45 minutes, keeping the chin area warm.
11. After 45 minutes, remove the plastic wrap and rinse the oil off your chin with warm water. Pat dry.

Set yourself apart by painting your canvas sneakers.
Painting canvas shoes can give new life to your sneakers, and can give you personalized shoes that will add flair to any outfit. It's a craft kids will enjoy, as they can make their shoes look exactly the way they like. Painted shoes can also be given as gifts made just for the wearer. Before you begin this project, make sure the shoes are clean. Even if the shoes are brand new, there may be some soiled areas from handling. Most canvas shoes are machine washable -- check the tag. Allow the shoes to air-dry to keep them from shrinking. Remove the laces from the shoes, and protect your work surface with newspaper before you start painting.
Instructions
1. Pencil in your design lightly with the pencil. If you make any mistakes, you can easily erase them with the eraser. You can make a pattern on the shoes, or pick your favorite cartoon character and draw her on the shoes. Use your favorite illustrated books and comic books for inspiration. You can draw simple shapes on the shoes, such as stars or hearts. Use stencils to help you pencil in your design if you like. Make your design as simple or as detailed as you like.
2. Apply the fabric paint over your pencil marks. Use a paint brush to apply paint over larger areas, remembering not to overload the brush. Rinse the brush in a jar of water before you use a different color, and squeeze the brush dry with paper towels. Allow the paint to dry according to the label's instructions. Once the larger areas have been painted, use the fabric paint markers to paint in more detailed areas or outlines. Allow the paint to dry according to the label's instructions. You can use paint on the edges of the soles if you like, but it will wear off quickly and may have to be re-applied. Clean up any spills or globs with paper towels.
3. Apply two or three coats of a spray-on silicone shoe protector. Allow each coat to dry according to the instructions on the label.
4. Re-lace your shoes. If your white laces look a little dull now that your shoes are dressed up, use ribbon or colored laces to add some pizzazz.

Some men have a hard time pulling off a seersucker suit. Seersucker suits are made from a light crinkled fabric, usually cotton, with an alternating vertical striped pattern between white and another color. If you would like to wear this suit without coming off looking like a total nerd, there are a few ways to do it.
Instructions
1. Choose a color that won't make everyone stop, look at you, and throw on a pair of sunglasses. Men's seersucker suits come in a variety of colors striped with white such as red, peach, aqua, and pink. Pick these colors only if you have a deep desire to attract attention, no matter the kind. The best colors are blue-and-white, cream, gray-and-white, or brown-and-white.
2. Choose a shirt that goes well with the suit. You can't go wrong with a white shirt, or a light shirt that matches the suit. Avoid shirts with any a pattern as they will clash with the already striped pattern on the suit. Please, do yourself a favor and don't wear a polka dotted shirt with this suit. A shirt with a conservative collar is best instead of a wide collar, which will make you look like you stepped out of the 70s.
3. Pick a tie that isn't too busy. Again, overly-busy patterns will clash. Instead choose solids or conservative patterns. Bow ties are fine too, but a regular neck tie is best if you wish to avoid the nerdy look.
4. Wear a plain brown leather belt instead of that thick white one you were thinking of.
5. Wear almost any shoe, from brown brogues for a fancier occasion to white or brown bucks. You can even wear tennis shoes to casual events if you are wearing your seersucker jacket with jeans.
Coach is a brand of designer handbags, purses, wallets, shoes, accessories and apparel. Knock-off Coach purses are very common and are often sold as cheaper alternatives or even at full price in an attempt to fool the buyer. Luckily, there are a few telltale characteristics that will allow you to tell whether or not the handbag is a genuine Coach.
Instructions
1. Inspect the letter pattern on the handbag. Genuine Coach bags will have the trademark C pattern throughout, with none of the letters cut off by seams or another C. Each C should be whole.
2. Make sure that the C pattern is consistent throughout. The C's should be grouped together in pairs of two, always forming a pattern and never scattered randomly.
3. Check the tag to make sure that the writing is in English, is straight and not crooked, and that the serial number always begins with "No," followed by a cluster of numbers, a dash, and four more numbers. Fakes often have three numbers after the dash.
4. Inspect the logo tag to make sure that the word "COACH" is raised, not stamped on or into the tag.
5. Inspect the zipper to check for the marking "YKK," which is the zipper that Coach always uses.
6. Look around the inside of the bag. The interior should be stitched in straight lines, not glued or clumsily stitched.
A tuxedo is a classic and traditional wedding choice.
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and you want to look your best. Choosing the right tuxedo for you might seem daunting at first, but by breaking down the process into simple steps you won't be overwhelmed. Just as a bride does when picking out a wedding dress, investigate your options before trying on any tuxes.
Instructions
Select a Tuxedo for a Wedding
1. Decide which features you're interested in. So you won't be overwhelmed, investigate the many details before you get to the store. Look at pictures in magazines to narrow down the styles you like.
2. Investigate the various styles of tuxedo jackets. Morning dress jackets are the most formal, with a single waist-height button. They taper down past your waist at the back. Dinner jackets tend to be white or ivory and are good for summer or more casual weddings. A tuxedo with tails has a longer back than front and looks very formal. Traditional tuxedos are gray or black and have a single waist-high button.
3. A shawl collar.
Choose your lapel style. Notched lapels have a V-shaped cut pointing toward the collar. A shawl collar has a continuously tapering line and help create a vertical line. Peaked lapels have two points of fabric pointing upward, near to the collar.
4. This man is wearing a waistcoat.
Choose between wearing a waistcoat beneath your tuxedo or a cummerbund. Avoid a cummerbund if you are stocky, as it emphasizes the largest part of your body. Also avoid one if you are short; it would make you look shorter.
5. Go to stores and try on tuxes, with the help of the staff. Bring the shoes you intend to wear on the wedding day to the store so you can try them on with the tuxes. If your fiancee can't attend the fitting, take pictures so you can compare styles with her later. Ask about tailoring costs if you feel something could be altered to fit you better. Choose something in which you look good and you're comfortable.
You need to do two things to get a really hot bod: work out so your muscles are toned and well-defined, and lose weight so those muscles are visible and not hidden under fat. It takes some diligence and discipline to tone your bod, but if you stick with it and get into a military-style routine, it's something anyone can do, and you don't need to belong to a fancy gym.
Instructions
1. Start paying attention to your diet now. Drink lots of water, and eliminate or cut back on soda and those blended coffee drinks. Don't buy chips, cookies, ice cream or other junk food, starting today. If they are not in the house, you can't eat them. Buy healthy snacks like almonds or walnuts, fruit and natural yogurt. Eat lots of lean protein like fish, chicken, eggs and beans. Avoid processed foods as much as possible. You don't want to make yourself miserable, so give yourself one day a week where you can eat "forbidden" foods, or allow yourself one small sugary or fatty snack per day. If you start eating healthy, you will find yourself losing the taste for junk food. If you want a hot, toned bod, it starts with your diet, and there is no getting around that.
2. Engage in aerobic exercise to help you lose weight and get toned. Depending on your current fitness level, this could be as basic as walking around the block at least once a day, or running 5 miles. You need good, supportive shoes and comfortable walking or running clothes. If you have a dog, take the dog for walks. If you have a partner, take your partner for a walk. If you have both a partner and a dog, you can all go for a walk or run together. If the weather doesn't allow for outside activity, run in place or do jumping jacks while listening to high-energy music. At least 30 minutes per day of aerobic exercise will get you on the right road to being fit and toned.
3. Tone your muscles and lose weight to get muscle definition. You probably already know that "spot toning" doesn't work. You can, however, work your muscles in groups, and the most important muscles for toning and strength are your stomach and back "core" muscles. Get an exercise ball and a book or DVD to learn the full range of core exercises you can do.
4. Free or hand weights are great for arms, shoulders, chest and upper back. Stand in front of a mirror so you can check your form. You need to either get some private training to learn proper form with free weights or get a DVD. Free weights are also invaluable for doing lunges, walking lunges and squats. These exercises will work out your behind and your legs.
5. Don't limit yourself. Anything at all that gets your body moving and raises your heart rate is aerobic exercise and will help you lose weight and get a toned bod. Swimming and biking are wonderful all-over body toners. So are horseback riding or playing volleyball. Each of these activities works your whole body and tones muscles. Each works different muscle groups. It's important to find exercise you really enjoy doing, since that's how you will stick with the program.
6. Experts disagree about whether or not stretching prevents injury to muscles, but stretching before, during and after exercise will help your muscles stay limber and more effective. After you work each muscle group, stretch them in as many ways as you can think of. Yoga can be an important component to an exercise regime. Not only does yoga stretch muscles but it also works and tones them.
7. Keep charts of your progress. This will enable you to see how much fitter you are getting and will motivate you! Write down how many reps, or how long, you are able to do different activities. Before you start seeing results (depending on your current level of fitness, this can take weeks or months), you will definitely be able to feel them, and keeping an exercise log will show you how much you're improving.
8. Push yourself a little bit harder when you can easily do 10 push-ups, or run continuously for 20 minutes. This is why private training is so effective. Trainers push their clients harder than most people will push themselves. If you don't feel like getting up and exercising, do it anyway! You will always feel better afterward.

The Waltham Watch Company, which was based in Waltham, Mass., produced pocket and wrist watches between 1850 and 1957. Today, Waltham watches remain highly desirable collectible timepieces. Dating a Waltham is an easy task. The watchmaker kept thorough records of its products. Waltham etched a serial number on every watch movement along with its name and trademark. Unlike other watchmakers, Waltham went the extra step by usually identifying the model of the watch on the movement as well. This information can be used to find the year that the watch was made.
Instructions
1. Use a flat blunt blade to pry open the snap case back of a Waltham wrist watch. A lip or notch on the case back can be found at the 6 or 12 o'clock position. If there is no lip, carefully wedge the blade into the seam and lift. The case should pop open.
2. Carefully examine the case back of a Waltham pocket watch. Pocket watch case backs vary in design and require different methods to open. For hinge back and bezel cases, examine the case back with a jeweler's loupe or the naked eye for two small hinges on the case back. The hinges are usually at the 6 o'clock position. Pry the case at the opposite end of the case back first with a fingernail. If that doesn't work use the flat blunt blade. The case should snap open. Hunting cases feature front and back covers. Press down on the crown and a tiny hatch will release the cover.
3. Use a jeweler's loupe to examine the movement. Don't touch the movement with your fingers. At or near the edge of the movement will be a serial number. Digits in the serial number will range from two to eight depending on the year of production. For example, 1856-1857 Waltham pocket watches will have a serial number between 4000 and 6000. A 1957 Waltham watch will have a serial number of 35,000,000 or greater, according to oldwatch.com. Record the serial number from the movement.
4. Use the jeweler's loupe to note the "American Watch Co. Waltham", "AWCO Waltham" or similar trademark. Note the number of jewels etched on the movement. Note and record the model name, such as "Riverside" or another model name on the movement.
5. Obtain a Waltham serial number list from the numerous online pocket watch sources or from an experienced watchmaker with an expertise in vintage watch identification and repair. The list will provide the year of production, but not the exact date.

Don't throw away your broken belt buckle in case it can be fixed.
Belt buckles can add a touch of style and interest to the way you dress. Buckles come in a variety of shapes, designs and colors. Some are simple, while others are very flashy. Many belt buckles are unique, hand-crafted accessories that can be difficult to replace if lost or broken. The belt buckle peg is particularly vulnerable to breaking because of the stress put on it. If the peg does snap off, you can repair the buckle at home.
Instructions
1. Cut a piece of wire coat hanger about 6--12 inches in length.
2. Wrap the wire around any openings on the buckle or around the hinges of the buckle on the peg-side, and then back under the buckle. Decide, according to the unique shape of your belt buckle, which part of the buckle is best to wrap the wire around. Use the pliers to wrap the wire tightly in place, leaving one piece of wire sticking out beneath the buckle. The placement of the wire is fine if you are happy with the appearance of the buckle and the wire is securely wrapped in place with one end extended as a peg under the buckle.
3. Bend the wire sticking out to the desired angle to act as a peg. The peg should be long enough to secure the buckle to the belt, but not so long that it scratches your pants or waist. Cut it to the right length with the wire cutters.

Favored by screen legend and style icon Cary Grant, a gray suit is classic and extremely versatile. Fitting for virtually any occasion, you can confidently don a gray suit to a job interview or the office as easily as you can to a swanky dinner or wedding. Find a look for any occasion that suits your personal style.
Classic and Conservative
Wear a gray two-button suit that fits you well and pair it with a crisp white dress shirt and a medium width, solid black tie. A classic combination, a gray suit always looks good with a white shirt and dark tie. Try mixing in an understated patterned shirt, such as gingham, for a dash more style, or go with a plain shirt and diagonal striped tie. Accessorize with a white pocket square, tie bar, a black belt and black dress shoes.
Don a matching vest underneath for even more sophistication. A three-piece suit is always in style and gives you more options when dressing. In colder months, try a dark V-neck sweater underneath your suit instead of a tie, for a look that's functional, chic and office appropriate.
Contemporary and Style-Conscious
Play with color underneath your neutral-hued suit. Gray pairs well with virtually every color, so ditch the white and try brights or pastels that suit your skin tone. When it comes to hue, don't be afraid to wear a light-colored shirt with a light gray suit. Simply pair a pale shirt with a dark tie to provide balance.
Go for shirts with patterns, like a bold plaid, for a contemporary twist. Pair with a complementary pattern in your tie, like a small dot. Fitted, modern suits with skinnier lapels should be worn with skinnier ties to keep things in proportion. Finish your look with shoes in brown, a color that's becoming increasingly popular paired with gray suits. Match the shoe's hue to the suit color by pairing dark gray suits with dark brown shoes and lighter suits with lighter brown footwear.
Casual
For preppy off-hours style, try a casual-looking knit tie and oxford shirt combination. For the most casual occasions, skip the tie altogether and wear your suit with a colored shirt with a few buttons undone and a textured belt. Swap the button-down for a T-shirt and pair with slim profile, clean white sneakers for chic and easy weekend style.
Evening
Take your gray suit from day to night with a simple top swap. Simply change out your white or light-colored shirt with a black or dark-colored button-down. You'll look even more ready to play if you leave the collar unbuttoned. Finish your evening style with black shoes and an elegant black dress watch.

Every decade is marked by unmistakable fashion choices, and the 1980s is no exception. The "big hair" decade featured a number of memorable fashion looks for women. Whether you simply want to reminisce about 1980s attire or plan a costume for a theme party, yconsider many 1980s-specific looks for women.
Power Suit
Every business woman -- or aspiring business woman -- in the 1980s had a power suit in her closet. Perhaps inspired by the 1988 film "Working Girl," women across the country donned business suits in bold colors, such as red. The blazers featured shoulder pads, which were a staple of 1980s fashion. The 1980s business woman paired her power suit with pantyhose and high heels. Of course, if she walked to work, she might have traded those heels for tennis shoes for part of the day.
Neon Shades
Women's 1980s fashion included bright colors -- sometimes even blinding shades. T-shirts and tops in neon shades like hot pink, yellow, green and orange were popular, not to mention fashionable, looks during this decade. Neon colors infiltrated every part of a woman's fashion during the 1980s, down to the accessories. Many women wore neon scrunchies in their hair along with a pair of neon sunglasses to accent a neon t-shirt. Neon tights and socks were popular as well.
Workout Gear
Actress-turned-fitness guru Jane Fonda is credited with the workout craze that impacted 1980s fashion. Neon leotards paired with tights, legwarmers and high-top tennis shoes were a hot look for women while they exercised. The theory of the brighter, the better certainly impacted athletic fashion during this decade. High-waisted -- or even thong -- leotards paired with tights were a risky but popular fashion choice for the 1980s woman at her aerobics class.
Stonewashed Jeans
Denim is one of the few trends that spans from decade to decade, but the way women wear denim varies widely. In the 1980s, stonewashed jeans were all the rage. These light-colored jeans were often high-waisted but slim at the ankles, a clear reaction to the more popular flare and bell-bottom jeans of the previous decade. Women often wore all-denim looks, pairing their stonewashed jeans with matching denim jackets.

The boater straw hat was a popular style during the 1920s
Straw hats were fashionable in predominately two styles during the 1920s. The boater hat, a shallow, narrow-brimmed straw hat was popular on both men and women and could be worn during boating and other outdoor excursions. The wide brim hat was also very popular for women during the 1920s, especially as the brim was dramatically extended to make it more fashionable.
About
Straw hats come in various styles and shapes with a round brim comprising plant fibers including dried straw or reeds. During the 1920s, straw hats were worn for protection against the sun and heatstroke during the summer months, in addition to being fashionable. Straw hats have been worn since the ancient Greeks. Because of their economy, stylishness and utility, they were worn during the 1920s by both males and females of different classes. Embellishing straw hats with ribbons, feathers and hatbands was common practice during the 1920s.
Boater
The boater hat got its name from the gondoliers in Venice.
The boater hat was introduced to America in the 1880s by Italian immigrants. They are referred to as boaters because they were commonly worn by gondoliers in Venice. The boater also became a popular hat to wear during boating excursions throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This style of hat has is shallow and sits on top of the head with a narrow brim. The boater hat was worn by performers in Vaudeville, yachting enthusiasts and Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire throughout the early portion of the 20th century.
Wide Brim Hats
Wide brim straw hats were commonly worn as a modest head covering during the summer months. These hats both protected the face and head from the sun and provided a functional option for hat wearing. During the 1920s, the trend of wide brim hats was made more stylish when the size of the brim became even more exaggerated and women began folding up one side of the hat's brim in a jaunty manner. These hats were fashionable the era's "Gibson Girl," a drawing of the feminine ideal held commonly throughout the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Embellishments
Straw hats of the 1920s were commonly embellished around the brim to make them more formal. Men often wore simple boater hats that had a wide silk hat band of various colors around it. Women tended to dress up the boater hat with a wider variety of embellishments including thick, patterned and colorful hat bands, ribbons, feathers and silk and fresh flowers.

How do I Tell The Difference Between a Fake and Real TAG Heuer Link Chronograph 18K Watch?
Usually, a person will buy a designer item for the following reasons: the superior quality of the material and/or the status that the item's name provides. When it comes to fakes or knockoffs, they often do not fulfill either of these qualities. Knockoffs are cheaper because they are made of cheap material, and a discerning eye will be able to spot that it is not the genuine item, which can be embarrassing. With a TAG Heuer Link watch, it is usually not to difficult to tell whether it is real or fake.
Instructions
1. Check the price before anything else. A real TAG Heuer Link Chronograph watch in 18 karat gold will run upward of $2,000, so if it costs significantly less than that, chances are it is fake.
2. Examine the watch's material. TAG Heuer prides itself on using only the finest materials, so if it seems cheap or flimsy, it is a knock-off.
3. Check the font used for the date inside the watch. This is the most common place where the real TAG Heuer watches differ from the fake ones. This step is a little bit tricky because there is not one specific font that TAG Heuer uses for all of their watches. The best way to address this problem is to choose the specific Chronograph Link watch you want before you head to the store and examine its date font on the TAG Heuer website. You might even want to print a picture and bring it with you. Compare this to the watch you are shown at the store to see if the font looks the same.
4. Study the movement of the hands. While the hands of a real TAG Heuer watch move smoothly and almost imperceptibly, the fake versions often skimp on the hands, and the movements will be jerky.

Measuring for a boy's suit properly your dress shirt size properly ensures a good fit.
Measuring for a boy's suit is just like measuring for a man's suit. It is important to take the measurements properly, no matter how much squirming and wiggling ensues, to ensure a good fit. Even if it means you have to promise your boy an ice cream sundae to stand still while you cover all the bases with the tape measure -- it is worth it, to get a suit that fits well and looks sharp. The four measurements needed are chest, sleeve, waist and inseam.
Instructions
1. Wrap a tape measure loosely around the chest, just under the armpits. The arms should be hanging down to the side, in a relaxed manner. This is the chest measurement, which corresponds with suit jacket size.
2. Hold the tape measure at the center of the shoulder blades, then over the shoulder, down the arm and at the beginning of the wrist. This is the sleeve measurement.
3. Wrap the tape measure loosely around the waist. You can find the natural waist by having the boy bend down to the side. Where the natural crease begins signifies the natural waist.
4. Hold the tape measure on the inside of the crotch and run the tape measure down the leg to the floor. This is the inseam for an unfinished hem. You need to have a tailor or seamstress hem the pants for the proper length.
