Most boys are not as fashion-conscious as girls are.

Unlike teenage girls, many teen guys are clueless when it comes to fashion. They might find it quite challenging to put together an outfit that is both comfortable and stylish. In today's fashion world, teenage boys are faced with a wide range of clothes and styles to choose from. Choosing the right clothes and accessories can help teen guys show their individuality and enhance their confidence.

Shirts and Jackets

Teenage guys should select shirts that fit them well. Shirts that are too big can make them look untidy and unkempt. Wearing shirts that have the proper length and size can flatter their body. They can go for polos, t-shirts or button-down shirts. Polo shirts and t-shirts are ideal for everyday wear while button-down shirts can be worn on special or formal occasions. If they want to add flair to their look, they can try out cardigans, vests or jackets with different patterns.

Jeans and Khakis

Teen guys usually go for a pair of denim jeans because they find them functional and versatile. Denim is ideal for school, family gatherings or other casual occasions. Distressed or torn jeans might be the trend right now, but this type of jeans is not as practical or stylish as a simple pair of denim jeans. They should look for denims that fit them well and avoid wearing jeans that are two sizes bigger. For formal or special events that require them to dress up, they could go for khakis that are not cuffed or pleated. Cuffed and pleated khakis are considered to be out of fashion.

Mix and Match

Clothes need not be color-coordinated to match. The key here is to wear styles and colors of clothes that complement and make sense. For instance, the teen guy does not have to wear orange pants with his orange shirt; he can go for navy or dark-colored denim to match the orange shirt. He should try on colors that complement each other. When he wears clothes with patterns, he should avoid mixing two different patterns together, such as plaids and stripes. If a shirt is plaid, he should wear plain, basic jeans. He also shouldn't wear a patterned shirt with camouflage cargo pants.

Accessories

Accessories can complement a teen's style as well as show his individuality. Caps or hats go well with casual outfits. He may also add a simple necklace or bracelet but should avoid wearing too much jewelry -- one piece is sufficient. He should also choose a nice pair of shoes that go well with an outfit. Sneakers such as Chuck Taylors are best for denims and casual wear. If he wants to have a preppy look, he can pair an outfit with leather loafers. The best way to carry an outfit is to wear it with confidence.

Teenage guys, like teenage girls, want to look good, and a hairstyle can be a big part of getting the appearance they want. Since there are so many different textures and lengths of hair, teenage guys have a lot of hairstyles they can choose from to achieve their appearance goals. However, three hairstyles tend to stand out in popularity and are standing the test of time.

Razor Cut

This hairstyle is best for people who have straight hair. It's popular because it works with almost any face type. To achieve the look, the hair is cut to an inch or less in length. Often this cut is done so that the hair near the hairline is slightly longer. This way, it can be spiked up a little in the front. Lots of guys will spike the entirety of the hair. This gives a rugged, sharp appearance. All that's needed to maintain this hairstyle is a little bit of styling gel. Put a dab of the gel on your fingers and run the fingers through your hair wherever you want to spike it a bit. The look takes less than a minute to maintain, so it's perfect for teenage guys who are busy or for those who wait until the last minute to get ready to leave.

Military Cut

With this hairstyle, the hair is cut so short that the skin of the skull often shows through. It can be done at home with an electric razor that has an adjustable guard, so this look can save you trips to the salon or barber shop. You may need to touch it up often, however, since hair grows fairly quickly. This look requires no styling products and doesn't even require combing because of the length of the hair, so like the razor cut, it's a good choice for those who don't have time to mess with their 'do every morning.

Brush Cut

In this style, the hair is kept long enough to reach past the eyebrows and a bit into the eyes. The hair is then parted off the middle and brushed nonchalantly to the side opposite the part. This style gives the impression of casualness and is good for teenage guys who have longer (more vertical) facial structures. It works best on straight, thin hair. A little gel or spray can be applied just to keep the hair looking smooth and to eliminate fly-aways.

What Constitutes Blacktie Attire

Fashions come and go, but the classic "penguin suit" is always in style.

Black tie attire is considered semi-formal, one step down from the white-tie-and-tails of true formal attire. The custom of strict black-and white evening attire for gentlemen was popularized in the late 1700s by an Englishman, George "Beau" Brummel, a fashion arbiter of his day. This enabled the men to look severely elegant, spend less on clothes (one black suit could go to many parties) and form a neutral backdrop for the ladies' more colorful garb. Ladies have more range in form, color and style, but one cannot go wrong by following the classic format.

Gentlemen

The tuxedo or dinner suit is an all-purpose outfit for any black-tie function. It should be worn with a soft, pleated-front white shirt with a cummerbund or vest, a black bow tie, black polished calf laced shoes or patent leather pumps and black silk or thin nylon socks (knee-length, of course). Forego any other colors, excepting only midnight blue, which appears "blacker than black" in artificial light. Wear a white dinner jacket only in the tropics or on a cruise ship.

Ladies

The later and more elegant the party, the longer the dress should be. Cocktails at 6:00 calls for knee length or slightly above (no microminis, please), cocktails followed by dinner something longer, and dancing to follow for full length. Simple dressy pants are usually acceptable (always long and preferably flowing -- never skin-tight) when paired with an ornate top. Black is not the only color for evening, but deeper tones and jewel colors create a richer appearance. Shoes, hosiery, handbag and wrap should coordinate, but they need not match

Accessories

The classic jewelry for gentlemen is onyx and gold cufflinks and studs (although black pearls are effective) and a slim, lightweight dress watch, if any. Ladies may sport more flash, but subtlety is in better taste than glitz.

Outerwear

In cold weather, gentlemen may wear a dark knee-length overcoat with a fringed white silk scarf inside the neck, and a homburg hat. Ladies may wear a fur, velvet or other formal fabric coat, cape or stole.

A Picture Says a Thousand Words

Photograph tattoos are becoming a new fad in modern society and just about every tattoo parlor has an expert on picture tattooing. Picture tattooing can be beautiful art and many women find it appropriate to tattoo pictures of their family and children. Others find that pictures of their favorite pets make great tattoos. Picture tattoos are produced in a variety of ways. Some artists prefer to scan the image onto the computer and trace the design onto the skin. Others may "free hand" from an original photo. Photograph tattoos are very realistic and like their name says, look just like photographs on your body. Bold & beautiful

Not for the faint hearted, bold lips and wet- hair conveys a heightened sense of evening glamour and confidence. To achieve this super sleek look, straighten your tresses with a hair iron and make a sharp side parting. Next, tie a low pony towards one side at the nape of your neck. Lastly, lightly apply a smooth control gelcream to flatten flyways. 

 If opting for a smooth swirl, apply a high gloss serum to wet hair and pull it back. Divide it into 3 sections- the centre and two on the sides as this adds structure to the look. Tie a low pony tail, curve your hair upwards and fasten. Tuck with pins and add hairspray to set it in place. For a bold pout, choose a strong lip colour like plum, maroon or wine, add some gloss for shimmer and keep makeup neutral.

The tribal touch
The look is big this season and very simple to create. Thick eyebrows, painted lips and natural cheeks are an absolute must for this. For tribal braids, comb your hair out and apply a little bit of gel throughout. Multiple braids can be achieved with braiding hair from the top, right to the nape of the neck. Tie a ponytail at the nape of the neck and straighten.

 For the semi-mohawk look, divide your hair in three sections and completely flatten the sides with a hair gel. Make a slightly messy buff at the centre using a Play Ball and let wispy strands fly for a relaxed feel. Pin the hair together and you’re set for the day!

Hail that messy crown
A relaxed and casual hairstyle looks very feminine and flirty for everyday wear during summer. The key is to add texture to your crown area, which can be achieved simply by applying a bit of Play Ball and running your fingers through your hair. Tie a knot at the back, like you would usually do at home, or braid it into an uber stylish fishtail braid.

 Lastly, loosen out the braid and take out a few strands of hair to give it a cool, boho feel. A few gold bob pins along with minimum eye makeup and strong lips help nail the look.

Experimental queen
Quirky and fun, push the envelope with this look that'll give an edge to even the simplest of dresses. For your mane, take sections of hair and make swirls and rolls by twisting it around your fingers. Keep them all up with the help of pins and a good hairspray like Elnett Hairspray. Finally, leave some loose strands open at the back.

 Add drama with makeup by opting for washed out cheeks, popup and bright tints for lips and smoky eyes. Remember to get dressed before creating this look as it will be impossible to wear any small necked shirt after you've styled your hair and make-up.
