Fade Men'S Hair

,

The fade cut is one of the most popular among men

The fade cut is one of the most popular haircuts for men. In the fade cut, the hair is longer on top and gets shorter as you progress toward the neck. The fade cut gets its name because the hair appears to "fade" away. To get a good fade cut, you'll need to use clipper guards of varying sizes and blend the hair together as you cut different lengths.

Instructions

1. Use the 1/4 clipper guard to cut the hair on top of the head, front to back, all the way down to about one to two inches above the ear. Use short upward and outward movements.

2. Switch the 1/8 razor guard and begin at the bottom of the hairline by the ears. Clip the hair using an upward and outward movement, starting at the hairline by the face and moving around the head front to back. Cut to about one to two inches above the ear.

3. Clean up the lines. Avoid a "hard" line of hair where you switched clipper guards. Use a comb and the 1/8 clippers to make short outward cuts to blend the shorter and longer hair together.

4. Use the 1/16 clippers, starting at the bottom of the hairline at the neck and moving up. This size will allow a very short, almost skin-smooth cut. Work upwards slowly and "fade" the hair so at the end, the entire haircut is blended and seamless.

Color Coordinating Ideas

,

Use your personal taste and the color wheel to choose color coordinations.

Colors can be fussy, and matching up a desired atmosphere with desired colors can prove to be a difficult task. However, there is no need to feel intimidated; with some inspirational pieces and basic knowledge of color, the suitable color coordination can be achieved. Familiarize yourself with some basic color terms: "hue" is simply the name of the color, while "value" refers to the degree of darkness or lightness present in the color, expressed by tones, tints and shades. "Intensity" refers to the color's degree of strength and purity; for example, pure red is bright and intense, while mixed colors have a lower intensity. Most importantly, get familiar with the color wheel, a key tool for coordinating colors.

Be Inspired

Begin with an inspiration piece, such as a favorite rug, art piece, vase, pillow or anything that contains a color or colors that are attractive to you. If you are still at a loss, look in your closet and see what your wardrobe has to say about your color tastes: bright and relaxed or classic and muted. Depending on the piece, take a picture or remember the color to help you coordinate furnishings and paint colors.

Complementary Color Coordination

Complementary colors are found directly opposite of each other on the color wheel. For example, hunter green and burgundy go well together, or match up blue shades with orange, gold, rust or brown hues to create a complementary color scheme.

Analogous Color Coordination

Analogous colors are found next to each other on the color wheel. For example, blue, blue-green and green would create an analogous color scheme. Other color options that follow this principle are blue-violet, violet and red-violet, or red-orange, orange and yellow-orange.

Warm and Cool Color Coordination

Warm colors are yellow, orange and red; cool colors are violet, green and blue. This format of color coordination is about finding balance by mixing warm and cool colors. Begin with two cool or two warm colors, then mix in one warm or cool color (opposite of what you started with). For example, try yellow, rust and blue, or navy, blue and red.

Monochromatic Color Coordination

Monochromatic color coordination is popular for passionate, one-color enthusiasts. Choose your favorite color and find it in different tints, tones and shades. The intensity of this color coordination varies from dark to light. You might surprise yourself with just how many different variations of one color you find. For example, different variations of orange include jewel tones, warm taupes, pale corals and rich, deep browns.

Dress Vintage And Indie

,

Women's vintage and indie fashion can be sweet and ultra-feminine or edgy and tomboyish.

Indie fashion draws on the culture around independent music, film and art. Whether for nostalgia or critique, these forms of expression often use imagery from the past, and that vintage influence finds its way into indie fashion styles. Women's vintage and indie fashion can be sweet and ultra-feminine or edgy and tomboyish, or can combine elements of these extremes within one look.

Find Your Inspiration

To develop your own vintage-inspired style, look to classic films, photography, magazines and album covers to familiarize yourself with the silhouettes and styles of previous decades. Indie fashion is about self-expression, so you don't have to adhere to an authentic period look. You can combine elements from different vintage periods to express your own unique aesthetic. For example, you could combine two of the most iconoclastic fashion movements of the 20th century by wearing a 1920s flapper-inspired dress with 1970s punk-style accessories.

Dress for Your Body Type

Getting to know the styles typical of different time periods can help you choose clothing and accessories that best suit your body type and express your indie fashion vision. Different time periods have idealized different body shapes. For example, 1950s fashion tended to emphasize a feminine hourglass shape, while the styles of the 1960s began to favor a less-curvy body shape. Knowing the beauty ideals of the past can help you to find vintage pieces and classic styles that best fit you, so you can wear your vintage indie look with confidence.

Finding Indie and Vintage Pieces

Online retailers and auction sites can be good resources for vintage clothing. When shopping online, be aware that vintage sizing often varies significantly from modern sizing. To find the best fit, take your own measurements and compare them to those listed for the item. If you prefer trying on your clothing before making a purchase, vintage stores, consignment shops, estate sales and thrift stores often carry a variety of vintage items. If you'd rather buy new clothes, both online and local contemporary clothing shops may carry vintage-inspired clothing that will suit your indie fashion look.

Accessories and DIY Details

There are a few potential drawbacks to shopping for vintage clothing. It can be expensive, items may be fragile or have hidden flaws, and finding the perfect size and style can take time. You can still add vintage flair to your indie look without committing to a full vintage look. Adding striking vintage accessories -- such as jewelry, hats or handbags -- can add attitude to even the most basic outfits. You can also add vintage accents, such as buttons or lace trim, to give your wardrobe a vintage boost without emptying your pocketbook.

Beauty and Fashion Tips For Plus Sized Women

,
It doesn't matter if you are skinny and tall, short, or if you are a plus sized woman - you can look incredibly beautiful and really turn some heads, if you simply had a few tools and tips to work with! Celebs like Delta Burke have clearly shown us that even plus sized women can be beautiful and stylish. The trick is in knowing what clothes to wear, what colors to chose from, and what accessories to wear. When choosing your wardrobe, the whole cliche about "black covering up fat" isn't necessarily true.

If you look good in dark colors, awesome. Don't listen to me! However, choosing the same colors for jackets and pants that are the same hue is also a really good idea as well because you aren't sectioning off areas. It's all ONE area which makes you look sinner. You can also wear blouses in a contrasting color as well if you needed to add a flair of drama to the outfit. When choosing colors and pattern think vertical not horizontal. Bold buttons down the jacket or shirt, a long necklace, vertical stripes - these are all ways to think vertical and they can help tremendously! It's also important to wear colors that you feel good in.

Don't like red? Don't wear it! Love blue? Slap it on or add accents such as a shirt, or a necklace or a scarf. You can always tie in colors, you don't necessarily have to have "loud" colors on in order to look better. In fact, I prefer not to wear loud colors. I stay away from pink, oranges and yellows at all cost! There is one thing that a lot of plus sized women do - they don't wear the right sizes. If you are an eighteen don't try fitting into a sixteen! All this ends up doing is accentuating those areas where you don't want it to accentuate!

For example, if you don't like your butt, and you buy a really tight pair of jeans, chances are your butt is going to look larger, so if this is something you want to avoid, then don't wear tight jeans! Same goes with shirts or dresses as well! If you are out shopping someplace and you aren't sure about a specific size or outfit or piece of clothing - ask the sales girl. These girls are more than likely willing to give their advice about any fashion tips you need. Been there done that myself! You could also take a friend along with you as well if you are too embarrassed to ask a sales person to give you advice.

Most friends will be brutally honest about how you look, some are not. If you have a variety of friends pick the honest one! Also, if you like wearing jewelry, try to follow the "wear the right size" cliche above. Don't wear tiny little earrings or necklaces. Try wearing things like chunky bracelets like bangles, or long flowing necklaces! So you see just because you are a plus sized woman doesn't mean you have to feel embarrassed or "out of place". I believe that all women are equally attractive in their own ways.

And a lot of people are going to look past the outside, and see the inside. This is what I try to remind myself when I'm having a bad hair day or something of the likes. If they don't look inside and all they care about is your looks? It's not a person you would want to have in your life anyway. YOU are beautiful just the way you are and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

,
Flat bridal shoes. At first that could provoke a boring mental picture, but only if you have not looked at the endless variety of wedding ballet flats. Many brides leave the wedding early for their honeymoon leaving the wedding party and guests dancing all night. After your wedding, all can wear their wedding ballet flats for many occasions.

In particular, white, black, ivory, silver and gold ballet flats can be matched with jewelry. Earrings, necklaces and bracelets can easily be chosen to go with your wedding party outfits.

Many ballet flats come in designs with two or three colors, particularly mixtures of metallic shades. This allows a mix and match choice of jewelry for bride and bridesmaids. Beauty Tips On A Budget

,

There is no doubting the benefits that come from using high quality body scrubs. Applied in the right way they can make your skin look amazing. However, they are certainly not cheap, with your average jar costing around twenty pounds on the high street, if not a bit more. Fortunately, there is a cheap way to get around this. It is possible to create a budget cocktail using only a cup of good olive oil combined with around three teaspoons of regular sugar. Instant smoothness on a very tight budget, leaving you with more money to actually spend on partying your nights away.

Another good tip to help you in those beauty spots is to take advantage of old lipstick tubes. Once they are nearly empty, scrape off the remnants of the color that remains, and place them into a microwaveable contained with some Vaseline.

Heat them up in thirty second intervals, and you will soon find that you have created a very cheap form of lip gloss, at virtually no cost. This is a great tip, as lip gloss can be a very expensive investment when bought in high street shops, and this technique can provide the same levels of quality.

Olive oil comes up fairly often when it comes to beauty spot treatments, and this next one is also effective, offering as it does a great way to take care of your hair, especially if you are someone who regularly dyes it. Using half a cup of the oil combined with small drops of essential oil can make an ideal scalp treatment if left to stand for a day or two. Needless to say you should avoid just splashing the oil straight on, and try to moderate the application. A little will go a long way, and you will not end up looking too greasy.

The final tip we have is for those who suffer from oily breakouts (we have all been there) on their skin.

It will not always be possible to take advantage of the made-for-purpose blotting sheets that you can purchase from the high street, but there is a good substitute available in many public restrooms, ideal for the emergency situations. Namely, the toilet protector sheets that you will find in the dispenser nearby. Whilst this idea might not seem appealing, that material is virtually the same as the expensive blotting paper that you would purchase from a high street chain. Why spend the extra money? Grab those protector sheets and stick them in your handbag, and you will have a beauty spot wherever you go.
