Measure A Suit

,

A proper fitting suit will give you a more professional aura.

Suits can be comfortable when you have the correct size and not everyone does. What some people do not realize is that it is fairly easy to measure a suit to make sure you get the proper fit. You can save time and money by measuring a suit to make sure you have the proper size and fit for you.

Instructions

Measure For A Suit

1. Measure for the jacket first. Taking the measuring tape, measure the width of the shoulders of the jacket. Be sure to write it down so you do not have to go by memory alone. Now measure the chest. Taking the tape, measure around the fullest part, placing the tape close up under the arms.

2. Measure for the jacket sleeves. Taking the tape, measure from the top of the shoulder to your desired wrist area. How long would you like the sleeve to be? Measure to that length. Lastly, for the jacket, measure the length. Using the tape, measure from your the bottom of your throat all the way down to your desired length, usually just around the crotch area. Now write down these measurements and you have your jacket measurements.

3. Measure for the suit pants. Taking the tape, measure around your waist but make sure you can fit a finger between the tape. Jot down your waist measurement.

4. Measure for the suit pant inseam. Using your tape, measure the top of the leg on the inside at the crotch down to the middle of the foot or your desired length. Now jot down this measurement and you will be able to determine the size of the suit specifically suited for your body.
